ZAC'S ONLINE YEARBOOK
Athletics Banquet/Rez Banquet
It was now time for the athletics banquet at the Best Western, as we all were anticipating the results of the MVP for Men's Soccer...I was kind of expecting to win the award, although I knew that there were others who might be a little more deserving...Actually, since I didn't play a single game all season, even Joe Greer had a better shot at winning it than I did! No offence, Joe... By the way, congrats to Yeoman, who took home the award in the end...and congrats also to Robbie C & Hop, who received Coaches Awards, & Ross, Rookie of the Year.
This night, however, belonged to someone else...Someone who didn't win any MVP awards, somebody who didn't play any sports at school...This was the evening that Paulo Gomes Santos was awarded the 1st ever Nipissing U Spirit Award...For 5 years, Paco had given his all to athletics at Nipissing, and it was finally time to be thanked in front of all the athletes...Paco was given a special plaque, denoting him as the "Most Electrifying Campus Recreation Director in Sports Entertainment"...Congratulations Paco, and we thank you!!!

Paco, shortly before receiving his award, a little on the nervous side
There you have it, folks...The 1st ever standing ovation for anyone at a Nip U Athletics banquet!
Paco, the happiest man in the world! Paco went on to give a great speach as well.
Oh, by the way, nice jacket Paco!
Now that the athletics banquet was over and done with, our annual Rez banquet was comin' up...So what did we do? Prepared for anotha pah-tay, made a couple of all-calls to Rez, and got ready to throw it down one last time in Founders House...After a fairly boring evening, there were a couple notable awards handed out...Hon Lee was presented with the ICQ award, for spending the most time on ICQ, and Paul was donned the new Boy Next Door, an award with such famous previous winners as...ME! HaHaHa

Paul, after collecting his prestigious piece of paper...There really weren't any
other contenders for this one, except maybe for Pug, Richie or Cory...
Oh yeah, before I forget, 4th Floor was awarded with the FLOOR OF THE YEAR for 2nd year in a row!
But then again, there never really was a doubt...
